Cloud Teo, also known as Zhang YunXiang, President of Malaysia Guzheng Association, Director of The GuZheng Academy in Malaysia, Director of Guzheng Orchestra in Batu Pahat Chinese High School, Art Director of QuadArt Gallery, graduated from the China Conservatory of Music with a Masters in Professional Guzheng. He received guidance from Mr. Guo Cheng Huan from a young age. In 2003, he was accepted into China Conservatory’s undergraduate instrument music programme where he studied under the renowned Guzheng performer-cum-educator, Professor Lin Ling. He has participated in competitions and his achievements including the Silver Medal in 2007 CCTV Traditional Chinese Music Instrument Competition and was awarded the Outstanding and Best Instructor numerous times in various national and international GuZheng contests. In 2016, Music Toxin released his Solo Album The Moon and he released a Chinese New Year album a few years ago. In the recent years, he often participates in Contemporary Music festivals and organises a lot of concerts in Malaysia and overseas.
