LIM WEI SIONG
ErHu Instructor
Born in Malacca, Wei Siong studied Erhu and Pipa with Lin Chao Xing in his early years.
He improved his skills at the Xi’an Conservatory of Music, China, under the tutelage of professors Wang Fang Liang and Zhang Li Hua, and later studied at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing with professors Hong Mei and Zhu Jiang Bo.
He has participated as a soloist and an instructor of many Chinese orchestras, including the Singapore Youth Chinese Orchestra (soloist), the Malaysian Professional Chinese Orchestra, the Malaysian Chinese Orchestra as well as f Aswara University.
Wei Siong has participated in numerous concerts and musicals, such as at the “Sabah Rainforest Concert”, the “Asian Musical”, “Four Books”, “The Legend of Medicine Buddha”, “Astro Classical Song Competition”, and many others.
He also obtained a master’s degree from the French Multimedia University and is currently a lecturer in the Department of Multimedia Design at SEGi University College.
